List of KYC Documents for Residential Address Change

Finance Guru Speaks:  This article will provide you list of KYC documents mandated by RBI for the purpose of Residential Address Change Request for Credit Cards. This list is applicable for Residential Address Change request for other avenues as well like Banks, Debit Card, Demat Account etc. You need to submit copy of any one of the mentioned documents.


 List of documents for Residential Address Change Request :-

Employer ID card having address details and photo will also be accepted as valid residence and ID proof

For Employees of Bank and Banking partners

Serving certificate with photo to be considered as a valid KYC (both residence & ID proof). Issue date should be within 60 days from date of processing.
For Employees of Bank

Employee ID Card (Issued by Government Department)

Utility bill which is not more than two months old of any service provider (electricity, telephone, postpaid mobile phone, piped gas, water bill)

Property or Municipal Tax receipt

Bank Account Or Post Office Saving Bank Account Statement valid only for last two month

Pension or family pension payment orders (PPOs) issued to retired employees by Government Departments or Public Sector Undertakings, if they contain the address

Letter of allotment of accommodation from employer issued by State or Central Government departments, statutory or regulatory bodies, public sector undertakings, scheduled commercial banks, financial institutions and listed companies.

Leave and license agreements with such employers as mentioned in point 15 above allotting official accommodation;

Documents issued by Government departments of foreign jurisdictions and letter issued by Foreign Embassy or Mission in India.

You need to submit self-attested proof of either your current residential address or permanent residential address.
