How To Cancel SIP in Kotak Mutual Fund?

In this article, we have provided steps for Online SIP Cancellation of Kotak  EQ Contra Fund using the existing investor's User ID and Password. However, you may select any other Mutual fund from this fund house, steps will remain the same.

Steps to follow to online Cancel or Stop SIP in Kotak Mutual Fund:-

1. Open Kotak Mutual Fund website and provide your User ID and Password and click on Login button:-

2. Enter OTP received on your registered Email and Mobile No. and click on Submit button:-

3. On the Home page, Click on Systematic Transactions -> Cancellation of Systematic Registration. Select Transaction Type as Systematic Investment Plan and Transaction Mode as Online/Offline [Online, if you started SIP via Online Website/App and Offline, if you started SIP via visiting Fund Office]


You can see the list of Mutual Fund Schemes against which SIP is ongoing. Move the Cursor to the Right and click on Stop SIP link against your selected Kotak EQ Contra Fund. As shown below:-

4. On the Next Screen, accept the Terms and click on Continue button:-

5. Review all the details and click on Send button to get the SIP Cancellation Confirmation OTP on your registered Email or Mobile:-

6. Enter the received OTP and click on Confirm button to cancel the SIP:-

Important instructions shared by Kotak Securities -

1. Please surrender all unutilized Instruction Slips along with this Closure Request.
2. Account will be closed, subject to NO HOLDINGS and SIGNATURE VERIFICATION as on records.
3. In case of joint holders, all holders must sign.
4. Please clear the DP dues if any.
5. In case of any Mutual Fund holdings at the time of closure, you may either redeem the same or get it transferred (Note: The ARN shall be changed from Kotak Securities Limited (KSL) to the target distributor’s ARN, as specified by you or to the offline ARN of KSL if no ARN is mentioned by you on conversion request)
6. In case of closure cum transfer case, the BO should submit duly certified (signed and stamped) Client Master Report (CMR) obtained from the target Participant.
7. Please note that once your trading/demat account is closed, all active and running SIP’s sourced through our portal/any online mode will be deemed to be cancelled with immediate effect.
8. Your request will be processed within a tentative period of 10 working days from the date of receipt of complete documents.
