How To Download Electronic Copy of Your Aadhaar Card

Below are the steps for downloading E-Aadhaar Card:-

1. Visit UIDAI Website by clicking here.

2. As shown below, go to My Aadhaar -> Download Aadhaar link :-

3. Provide your Aadhaar No. & Captcha character as shown below and click on Send OTP button:-

Note: You can also provide Enrolment ID or Virtual ID for downloading your E-Aadhaar Card. In this article, we are using Aadhaar No. to download the E-Aadhaar Card.

4. You will receive the OTP on your Aadhaar registered Mobile No.

Enter the received OTP and fill the Quick Survey as per your feedback. 

Once done, you can click on Verify And Download button:-

EPFO - How To Directly Link Aadhaar With UAN Online?

Steps to link Aadhaar with UAN without login to MEMBER e-SEWA Portal:-

1. Open EPFO website by clicking here

2. As shown below, click on eKYC Portal link under Online Services section:-

What is the Importance of Aadhaar Linking?

Finance Guru Speaks: This article will provide you details on the importance of Aadhaar linking with Financial Institutions, Banks, Mobile Operators, PAN and Social Security Schemes. Don't forget the timelines within which you need to link your Aadhaar No. to avoid any inconveniences.

Aadhaar Linking

1. Aadhaar linking with Mobile Number:   

All the existing Prepaid & Postpaid customers have to link Aadhaar with their Mobile numbers. To complete the Bio-metric verification, please visit nearest Mobile Operator Store (for Postpaid Subscribers) and nearest Retail Store (for Prepaid Subscribers).

In case you don’t complete this process before the last date, your mobile services might get affected. If you have multiple mobile numbers, then you need to complete this linking process with all the numbers.

      Last Date of Linking your Aadhaar with Mobile Number : 06th Feb 2018

2. Aadhaar linking with Banks & Financial Institutions like Mutual Funds:   

All the existing Bank Account Holders are expected to link their Accounts with Aadhaar. This is required to keep your Bank accounts as Active, avail home loan, education loan etc.

Incase you don’t complete this process before the last date, your bank account might get suspended. If you have multiple Bank Accounts, then you need to complete this linking process with all the Accounts.

Above is applicable for your Mutual fund investments as well. Either you link your Aadhaar with Fund Houses like Reliance Mutual Fund, SBI Mutual Fund etc. individually OR you can link Aadhaar with registrars like CAMS which will automatically link with all their affiliated Fund Houses.

      Last Date of Linking your Aadhaar with Banks/Mutual Funds : 31st Dec 2017

3. Aadhaar linking with PAN:   

As per the guidelines of Income Tax Dept., Tax Payers have to link their Aadhaar with PAN. Failing to which may result in not processing of Income Tax Returns. In other words, if PAN is not linked with Aadhaar, then Tax Payer cannot file the Income Tax Returns.

While linking, please make sure that PAN and Aadhaar details are matching. Incase of any mismatch, please get the records corrected.

      Last Date of Linking your Aadhaar with PAN : 31st Dec 2017

4. Aadhaar linking with Social Security Schemes:   

To avail the benefits of various Social Schemes like availing Pensions, Cooking Gas Subsidy, Govt Scholarships, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Janani Suraksha Yojana etc., beneficiary have to link their Aadhaar No.

In case you don’t complete this process before the last date, your benefits might get stopped. This is done to ensure that benefits are reaching out to the intended beneficiaries and to eliminate intermediaries and misuses.

ITR-V : How To e-Verify Your IT Returns Using Aadhaar?

Once you file your IT returns, you need to e-Verify it. Income Tax Return filed by Taxpayer is not treated as valid until it is E-Verified by the Taxpayer. In existing process, taxpayer can verify by sending signed ITR-V to CPC (Optional) using Courier or Speed-post.

Be careful to provide your Name exactly as mentioned in Aadhaar Card.

After  verification  from UIDAI, the linking of PAN and Aadhaar will be confirmed. If the Name mentioned in Aadhaar is completely  different  from  name  in  PAN,  then  the  linking  will  fail
and you will  be prompted to change the name in either Aadhaar or in PAN database.

Please ensure that the date of birth and gender mentioned in PAN and Aadhaar are exactly same.

This facility is also available after login on the e-filing website. 

1. Go to Profile settings.
2. Choose Aadhaar linking. The details as per PAN will be pre-populated.

3. Enter Aadhaar no. and enter your Name exactly as given in the Aadhaar Card.
4. Submit

Purpose of this exercise: This linking can be used for E-Verification of Income Tax returns using OTP sent to your mobile registered with Aadhaar.
